FAQ’s

Whether you’re planning your first visit, looking to get connected, or just curious about who we are, we want to help answer your questions. We’ve gathered answers to some of the most common questions people ask about our church below.

  • What are Sundays like?

We have three services to choose from: 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 AM. Each service is exactly the same experience, so you can choose whichever time best fits your schedule. You’ll experience an upbeat worship style from our worship team and practical biblical teaching from one of our Pastors. Every service time has a dedicated service just for our kids in the Hope Kids area. Services typically last about an hour.

  • What should I wear?

We have a casual worship environment, so you’ll see people dressed in a variety of different styles of clothes. Whether you prefer dressing down or dressing up, everyone is welcome. We encourage you to come as you are. We want you to feel comfortable worshipping with us.

  • What about my kids?

Each service has programs for kids from newborns up to grade 5. We have staffed nursery available in all services, and classes for age 2 to grade 5. The safety and security of your children is our #1 priority! When you arrive you will check-in your children and they will receive a sticker with their name. As a parent you will get a corresponding sticker that will be used during pick-up.

  • What do you have for my teens?

Our youth group meets on Wednesday nights for their own dedicated time together. Hope Youth is open for all students in grades 6-12. Youth group night is packed full of fun activities, games, and relevant biblical teaching aimed at their level.

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

God

We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is infinite, which can be hard for our limited, human understanding to fully grasp. God is not bound by time or space—He is the Creator, eternal, all-knowing, ever-present, and all-powerful. God’s character is rich and multi-dimensional. His attributes—grace and wrath, mercy and justice, love and jealousy—do not conflict but work together in perfect harmony for good.

Jesus

Jesus is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and gave us a perfect example to follow. He willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin—the very thing that separated us from God. Through His resurrection, He conquered death, made a way for us to be reconciled to our Creator, and offers us new life in Him. Today, Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is given to every follower of Christ to guide, comfort, convict, and adopt us into the family of God. The Spirit works within us to grow us into the likeness of Christ by producing His fruit in our lives. He also equips us with spiritual gifts to serve others, build up the Church, and bring hope to a hurting world.

The Bible

The Bible is the authoritative and inspired Word of God. Though written over thousands of years by dozens of human authors, its 66 books tell one unified story: a passionate God relentlessly pursuing the redemption of His creation. It is trustworthy and reliable, guiding us in what to believe and how to live.

Salvation

We were created in the image of God to live in relationship with Him and to reflect His character in the world. But through a willful act of disobedience, humanity became separated from God.

In His great love, the Father sent Jesus to redeem us through a sacrificial act of atonement—His death on the cross and resurrection from the grave. Through faith in Jesus, we are given the opportunity to exchange our sin for His righteousness.

Jesus’ sacrifice is the only way to salvation and reconciliation with the Father.

The Church

The Church is the Body of Christ, with Jesus as its head. It’s not a building or a weekly event, but a community of believers—those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to glorify God, make disciples, proclaim Jesus to a lost world, and serve the needs of others—both locally and globally.

We celebrate water baptism as a first step of obedience for new believers. We also regularly celebrate communion, remembering the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross.

Following Christ

Putting our faith in Jesus Christ sets off a spiritual chain reaction that transforms every part of our lives. We are forgiven of sin, declared righteous before God, and given the promise of eternal life with Him. The Holy Spirit is given to assure us of our salvation, adopt us into God’s family, and empower us to live a life that follows Jesus. As we walk with Him, our lives begin to reflect the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

The Future

At the end of all things, Jesus will reign forever. He will return to judge His creation with perfect justice and mercy, in alignment with His character as revealed in Scripture.

Those who have found salvation through Jesus Christ will enjoy His presence forever; those who have not will be separated from God for eternity.
